The Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry (SETAC) publishes two journals: Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry (ET&C) and Integrated Environmental Assessment and Management (IEAM). Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry is dedicated to furthering scientific knowledge and disseminating information on environmental toxicology and chemistry, including the application of these sciences to risk assessment. Integrated Environmental Assessment and Management focuses on the application of science in environmental decision-making, regulation, and management, including aspects of policy and law, and the development of scientifically sound approaches to environmental problem solving. Together, these journals provide a forum for professionals in academia, business, government, and other segments of society involved in the use, protection, and management of the environment for the enhancement of ecological health and human welfare. Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry is interdisciplinary in scope and integrates the fields of environmental toxicology; environmental, analytical, and molecular chemistry; ecology; physiology; biochemistry; microbiology; genetics; genomics; environmental engineering; chemical, environmental, and biological modeling; epidemiology; and earth sciences. ET&C seeks to publish papers describing original experimental or theoretical work that significantly advances understanding in the area of environmental toxicology, environmental chemistry and hazard/risk assessment. Emphasis is given to papers that enhance capabilities for the prediction, measurement, and assessment of the fate and effects of chemicals in the environment, rather than simply providing additional data. The scientific impact of papers is judged in terms of the breadth and depth of the findings and the expected influence on existing or future scientific practice. Methodological papers must make clear not only how the work differs from existing practice, but the significance of these differences to the field. Site-based research or monitoring must have regional or global implications beyond the particular site, such as evaluating processes, mechanisms, or theory under a natural environmental setting. ET&C does not publish papers whose primary focus is on human health, occupational exposure, water and wastewater treatment, remediation technologies, environmental control processes, or pollution prevention. Papers with a heavy emphasis on environmental policy or regulation will be referred to IEAM. Environmental Toxicology and Pharmacology publishes the results of studies concerning toxic and pharmacological effects of (human and veterinary) drugs and of environmental contaminants in animals and man.Areas of special interest are: molecular mechanisms of toxicity, biotransformation and toxicokinetics (including toxicokinetic modelling), molecular, biochemical and physiological mechanisms explaining differences in sensitivity between species and individuals, the characterisation of pathophysiological models and mechanisms involved in the development of effects and the identification of biological markers that can be used to study exposure and effects in man and animals.In addition to full length papers, short communications, full-length reviews and mini-reviews, Environmental Toxicology and Pharmacology will publish in depth assessments of special problem areas. The latter publications may exceed the length of a full length paper three to fourfold. A basic requirement is that the assessments are made under the auspices of international groups of leading experts in the fields concerned. The information examined may either consist of data that were already published, or of new data that were obtained within the framework of collaborative research programmes. Environmental Values is an international peer-reviewed journal that brings together contributions from philosophy, economics, politics, sociology, geography, anthropology, ecology and other disciplines, which relate to the present and future environment of human beings and other species. In doing so we aim to clarify the relationship between practical policy issues and more fundamental underlying principles or assumptions.

Environmental and Ecological Statistics broadly covers theory and methods, case studies and applications, environmental change and statistical ecology, environmental health statistics and stochastics, and related areas. Special features include invited discussion papers; research communications; technical notes and consultation corner; mini-reviews; letters to the Editor; news; views and announcements; hardware and software reviews; data management, etc.

Aims and Scope of the Journal Environmental and Experimental Botany:Environmental and Experimental Botany (EEB) publishes research papers on the physical, chemical, biological, molecular mechanisms and processes involved in the responses of plants to their environment.In addition to research papers, the journal includes review articles. Submission is in agreement with the Editors-in-Chief.The Journal also publishes special issues which are built by invited guest editors and are related to the main themes of EEB.The areas covered by the Journal include:(1) Responses of plants to heavy metals and pollutants(2) Plant/water interactions (salinity, drought, flooding)(3) Responses of plants to radiations ranging from UV-B to infrared(4) Plant/atmosphere relations (ozone, CO2 , temperature)(5) Ecophysiology of Northern plants under global change and environmental stress(6) Biotic interactions involving environmental factors.Each submitted manuscript related to these areas should be preferably based on an explicitly elaborated mechanistic hypothesis.The following types of manuscripts are not suitable for EEB: field monitoring surveys, pure mathematical modeling without experimentations, pure correlative works, applied papers on agriculture and phytopathology, studies of plant biology, gene expression and molecular works without considering environmental aspects.

Environmental and Molecular Mutagenesis publishes original research articles on environmental mutagenesis. It will publish manuscripts in the six general areas of mechanisms of mutagenesis; genomics; DNA damage; replication, recombination, and repair; public health; and DNA technology. Subsumed under these six general areas are subject matters that are appropriate for inclusion in EMM. Mechanisms of Mutagenesis.

The primary concern of Environmental & Resource Economics is the application of economic theory and methods to environmental issues and problems that require detailed analysis in order to improve management strategies. The contemporary environmental debate is in a constant state of flux, with new or relatively unexplored topics continually emerging. The Journal provides a forum for the further exploration of causes, consequences and policy responses linked to these topics, across a range of spatial and temporal scales up to the global dimension. Areas of particular interest include evaluation and development of instruments of environmental policy; cost-benefit and cost effectiveness analysis; sectoral environmental policy impact analysis; modeling and simulation; institutional arrangements; resource pricing and the valuation of environmental goods; and indicators of environmental quality. The contents are chosen for their relevance to the process of policy formulation and application.

Energy and alternative energy supplies; non renewable resources; climate change; human population growth; food production, distribution and security; toxic wastes; air pollution; loss of agricultural land; source water and potable water; public health infrastructure; environmental borne pathogens; urban ecology and planning; environmental technologies; transportation; the environment and the economy are key concerns shared by industry, governmental leaders and environmental professionals. This journal acts as a catalyst for environmental education, identifying available educational opportunities, and providing necessary guidelines and the missing framework for defining the more viable management mechanisms useful to industry, governmental policy-makers and environmental professionals.

Environments (ISSN 2076-3298) is an international and cross-disciplinary scholarly open access journal on the advances, challenges in environments, technology and policy. Our aim is to encourage scientists to publish their experimental and theoretical results in as much detail as possible. There is no restriction on the length of the papers. The full experimental details must be provided so that the results can be reproduced. Electronic files and software regarding the full details of the calculation or experimental procedure, if unable to be published in a normal way, can be deposited as supplementary electronic material.
